What is it famous for?

Chardonnay is a globally popular grape which shows up on almost every wine list and supermarket shelf – so it is a good grape to focus on. It is responsible for some of the world’s most expensive white wines: French labels such as Montrachet and Meursault; but also some of the most down-to-earth such as Australia’s Yellow Tail.
